An Afternoon of Rhythm, Joy, and Childhood Nostalgia
Thanks to the generous sponsorship of the Mazatlán Municipal Center for the Arts, the girls experienced a magical afternoon on April 29, 2026, attending a highly anticipated tap dance concert dedicated to the music of Cri-Cri—the beloved “Singing Cricket” who has been a companion to generations of Mexican children.
From the very first beat, the stage came alive with color, rhythm, and energy. The girls delighted in watching the dancers tap out the rhythm to cherished melodies like “Cri-Cri,” “El ratón vaquero,” and “La muñeca fea,” their faces reflecting a mix of surprise, amusement, and tenderness. Unable to contain their excitement, many of them hummed along or tapped out the rhythm with their own little hands and feet.
Events like this offer more than just a moment of leisure; they foster a valuable connection to the culture and traditions that shape Mexican identity. For our foundation, seeing the girls laugh, sing, and enjoy themselves without a care in the world is one of the most profound reasons for the work we do.
We extend our deepest gratitude to the Mazatlán Municipal Center for the Arts for making this experience possible and for their continued commitment to bringing art and joy to those who need it most.
